Manufactured by Krytac, the Barrett REC7 MK3 SBR is an updated iteration of a highly successful and recognizable AR-15 replica — combining modern engineering, rugged construction, and strong field performance in a compact form. Compared to earlier generations, the MK3 version introduces multiple internal upgrades and improved durability, making it the shortest and most maneuverable REC7 variant in the lineup.

The REC7 MK3 SBR is produced using state-of-the-art casting and machining processes. Its upper and lower receivers, outer barrel, and buffer tube are made from metal alloys, while the lightweight handguard is CNC-machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium. All external parts are finished with a matte, scratch-resistant, non-reflective coating to withstand harsh outdoor usage and general wear.
Smaller components—such as takedown pins and QD mount points—are steel-machined for exceptional durability.
Only the pistol grip, stock, and magazine are crafted from high-quality, lightweight polymer.

The REC7 MK3 SBR uses the classic AR-15 lower/upper receiver layout, widely appreciated for its ergonomics and aftermarket compatibility. The rifle accepts standard AR-15 pattern magazines.
A 267 mm aluminium outer barrel houses a 280 mm precision inner barrel (6.05 mm bore). The barrel is topped with a two-chamber flash hider installed on a 14 mm CCW thread.
The 6-position collapsible stock provides adjustable length, improved shouldering, and additional cheek support thanks to its angled pads. It also houses the replica’s battery.
The ambidextrous selector switch ensures comfortable and intuitive operation for right- and left-handed users — a major advantage in dynamic CQB and outdoor scenarios.

At the front, the free-float aluminium handguard features M-LOK attachment slots positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Combined with the long top RIS rail that spans from the upper receiver to the handguard, the rifle provides extensive mounting options for optics, foregrips, lights, lasers, and mission-specific accessories.

At the heart of the REC7 MK3 SBR is a reinforced Nautilus V2 gearbox, Gate Titan ready and equipped with 8 mm high-performance bearings, a ported full-metal piston, and a high-torque motor. These strengthened internal components significantly increase reliability and mechanical longevity. The rotary hop-up unit stabilizes BBs more effectively, giving the rifle improved accuracy and consistent range.
The enhanced FET system adds active braking, low-voltage detection, and a micro-switch e-trigger — delivering crisp trigger response, reduced battery strain, and excellent electronic protection.

Thanks to its rugged construction, compact proportions, and refined internal engineering, the Barrett REC7 MK3 SBR excels as a PDW-style replica — agile enough for CQB yet strong and stable enough to serve as a primary rifle in both skirmishes and demanding milsim environments.
