This partnership has resulted in a distinctive battery pack that offers several advantages, including shortened cables to save valuable space and a G-Tech plug for compatibility with chargers equipped with a G-Tech socket. Once connected to the G-Tech socket, the charger will automatically recognize the battery within five seconds and select the optimal charging mode.

Advantages of LiPo Batteries

• Capacity-to-Size Ratio: Lithium-ion-polymer (LiPo) packs are the successors to the well-known lithium-ion (LiIon) packs. Their primary advantage is their exceptional capacity-to-size ratio, allowing for a compact design while maintaining high current capacity, making them suitable for virtually any AEG replica.
• No Memory Effect: LiPo batteries can be charged frequently without the need for complete discharge, which is beneficial for maintaining their performance.
• Low Self-Discharge: LiPo packs exhibit a low self-discharge rate, losing only about 3-5% of their energy per month when not in use. However, it is crucial to monitor the pack during extended storage to prevent discharge below the permissible minimum value (3V per cell), which could lead to irreversible chemical reactions and potential damage, including ignition.

Usage and Maintenance

When used correctly, LiPo packs have an average lifespan of 500-700 cycles. It is important to note that LiPo cells perform well at low temperatures, but they should be charged at room temperature. To maintain LiPo batteries in optimal condition, they should be balanced during charging using the service plug that most LiPo packs feature.
